Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing Fair Returns to Teguise This Weekend

Teguise Ayuntamiento, in association with FASAT, has released the programme of the 5^th annual Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing Fair, which will take place this weekend at the Agricultural Complex between Teguise and San Bartolomé.

The fair will officially open at 6pm tonight, Thursday 4^th June, and will then open from 9.30 am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There will be huge range of events, including exhibitions of livestock, ploughing with oxen, a food fair, workshops on activities ranging from chainsaw use to creating strings of onions, cheese tasting, displays of Canarian wrestling, live music and much, much more. The highlight for many visitors will be the horse race that will take place on Sunday at 12 noon.

The fair is becoming one of the most popular annual events on the calendar, and attracted more than 40,000 visitors last year.  It’s a fantastic day out, and we’d recommend making a special effort to enjoy it.
