Fire Destroys Establishment in Playa Blanca Shopping Centre

An establishment in Playa Blanca was completely burnt out in a fire last night, while an adjacent business was also affected.

The blaze occurred in the Papagayo Shopping Centre and was fully advanced when firefighters from the B2 and B10 units arrived. Electricity was cut and the firefighters extinguished the blaze with water before taking action to ventilate the zone and eliminate smoke and gases.

Firemen confirmed that the premises had been completely burnt out, while an adjacent business also suffered serious damage.

Fortunately, no one appears to have been affected by the incident.
