Yaiza Ayuntamiento has taken on 43 new employees for a six-month period as part of a drive to strengthen service delivery across the municipality. The recruits will cover roles such as cleaners, home care aides, instructors and administrative assistants.

Yaiza Mayor, Óscar Noda, is managing the agreements with grants from the Canary Islands Employment Service and the Cabildo. “Although our municipality is nearing full employment, we have residents who, for various reasons, have been unable to enter the labour market, so the implementation of these agreements is an opportunity for them and also a situation that helps us meet municipal needs,” the mayor noted.

Yaiza’s Councillor for Employment, Rubén Arca, said: “We have assigned tasks according to each worker’s profile and the needs we have in different areas of operation. We appreciate the willingness to work of both groups and the inter-administrative cooperation.”
