Binter airline has launched a new route from Lanzarote to the northern Spanish city of Santander, the first direct connection from one of the non-capital Canary Islands (i.e. not Tenerife or Gran Canaria).
Flights will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from March 31st.
Santander is an elegant coastal city in the region of Cantabria, with a fascinating old town and some outstanding beaches. As well as being home to the Banco Santander, it is famous for its excellent seafood and was the home town of Spanish golfing legend Seve Ballesteros.
