A loose dog caused delays of up to half an hour at Lanzarote’s César Manrique airport yesterday.
After the dog was spotted near the runways, air traffic controllers suspended all take-offs and landings, applying “safety first” protocols that aim to eliminate the most minor risk for passengers and crews.
Five planes were forced to wait before landing, while the take-offs of other aircraft were delayed. The dog was finally captured and normal operations resumed.
