Tías Ayuntamiento is preparing a tender for lifesaving services on the four main beaches of Puerto del Carmen.
At least 15 lifesavers are required to cover nine hours a day in high season and eight hours in low season – a total of 46,000 hours of work. Lifesavers must also be in uniform at all times.
€1.67 million has been earmarked for the contract.
