The Salvemos Famara (Let’s Save Famara) group has complained about the continued problem of poor parking at Famara beach, with privately-owned cars parked on both sides of the road, and many invading the protected dunes area itself.

On Monday a car that had left the road entirely and parked on top of a dune was photographed.

The group also complain that the entrance to Caleta de Famara is full of cars parked “in spaces that are prohibited or reserved for taxis”, while police do nothing, and hundreds of parking places recently installed by Teguise Ayuntamiento “remain completely empty”.

Salvemos Famara also complain that visitors to the beach continue to litter, leaving “bottles, beer cans and cigarette ends”.
