Playa Honda road closure request

The Cabildo’s Public Works councillor, Jacobo Medina, has requested that the Canarian Government postpone the road closures planned for this Wednesday at Playa Honda.

The closures will permit work to be carried out on the second underpass between Playa Honda’s industrial and residential zones. However, Medina claimed to have been contacted by several residents who “conveyed dissatisfaction with the possible chaos that could be caused.”

Medina has requested a longer notice period so that locals are fully aware of the inconveniences that may be caused. “The work is necessary,” he said, “But collaboration between institutions is important so that locals are made aware of detours in a reasonable time period.”
