Fire on Famara clifftop

Firemen extinguished a blazing vehicle between the Famara clifftop and the Volcán de la Corona yesterday.

The vehicle, which appears to be a flatbed lorry, was reported to be on fire at 15.35 on the Camino de los Gracioseros, the footpath from Yé dopwn to the Playa del Risco.

Police awaited the firemen on the Camino de Guatifay before guiding them to the blaze.

Firemen used 9,000 litres of water to put the fire out.
