A German couple have pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining almost €73,000 by the sale of a property belonging to a third party in 2007.

Natja Bosh was sentenced to two years in prison yesterday by a Las Palmas court, and she and her husband Mikel have been ordered to repay costs and other compensation to the sum of €72,720.

The fraud occurred at the height of Lanzarote’s property boom in 2007, when Mikel Bosh acted as sole administrator of the real estate agency I.E.N.S.L., while Natja Bosh was a partner and 20% stakeholder in the same entity.

The company received deposits, 20% of the sale price of a 280,000€ property and other commissions from prospective buyers but failed to transfer the money to the sellers.
