Today, April 6th and tomorrow, the 7th, are Holy Thursday and Good Friday and, in Spain, both days are public holidays.
This means that banks, public buildings and many shops all over the island will be closed, many until Monday.
As always on Lanzarote, tourism means that most shops, bars ands restaurants in the resorts will remain open, and outside of the resorts tourist attractions, larger supermarkets and many other businesses will also be unaffected.
It’s a great time to enjoy yourself, but not such a good time to get paperwork or other day-to-day business sorted out.
