This week offers a great excuse to head over the water to Corralejo, where the blue skies over the dunes just south of the resort will be filled with all kinds of strange and colourful shapes as the 35th Kite Festival takes place.
It’s an unmissable spectacle that even attracted Angelina Jolie and her children when she was filming on the island a few years ago.
The festival will start at El Cotillo on the 10th November, with the main event taking place over the weekend of the 11th, 12th and 13th at the dunes near the Hotel Oliva Beach, 3 kms south of Corralejo.
