Guardia Civil officers have arrested a 44-year-old British man who stayed in three separate hotels in Costa Teguise and left without paying the bills.
The man ran up bills amounting to €3775,20 for over a month at three separate hotels, and when asked about payment is reported to have shown staff a screenshot of a bank transfer. However, such a transfer was never made.
After establishing that the man had left a false address when checking in, then Guardia Civil discovered him in a Costa Teguise pub and arrested him.
