Fire fighters were called to two fires last night, one in a Playa Blanca hotel and the other next to the IES Agustín Espinosa school in Arrecife.
Last night, fire fighters were called to a fire in the Playa Dorada hotel in Playa Blanca. The fire had broken out in a stairwell in the hotel.
Luckily, the fire fighters were able to extinguish the flames without needing to call for more help.
The second fire was reported on a plot of land near the IES Agustín Espinosa school in Arrecife. The fire had caught a large pile of rubbish and 500 litres of water had to be used to extinguish it.
