Workplace accidents increased by 33% on Lanzarote this year, according to the Cabildo’s statistics centre, with an average of 200 incidents a month.

New plans for smoking bans

More container fires
Four rubbish containers were burnt in San Bartolomé’s Calle Almud on Friday morning, damaging two cars parked nearby. Another container was also later set alight in Arrecife.
