Five crew members of a yacht which ran ashore near Órzola yesterday managed to escape with only minor injuries.
Four of the crew members, who were all French nationals in their 20s, managed to board a dinghy which was picked up by emergency services. The captain of the vessel managed to make it onto dry land himself.
All five were treated for hypothermia and abrasions to the hands and knees. Their yacht, meanwhile, was dashed against the rocks and sank completely.
