Yellow wind alert in force across Lanzarote until Saturday night

Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has issued a yellow wind alert for Lanzarote. The alert is in place from 8am today, Friday July 24^th, until midnight on Saturday 25^th July.

The alert warns of northerly gusts that could reach 70 km/h and could be especially strong in localised areas of Lanzarote.

Temperatures will continue in the mid-to-high 20s, with a light, high calima (airborne dust).

The conditions are perfectly normal for July and August, which are the windiest months of the year on Lanzarote.
