Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has issued a yellow wind alert for Lanzarote. The alert is in place from 8am today, Friday July 24th, until midnight on Saturday 25th July.

The alert warns of northerly gusts that could reach 70 km/h and could be especially strong in localised areas of Lanzarote.

Temperatures will continue in the mid-to-high 20s, with a light, high calima (airborne dust).

The conditions are perfectly normal for July and August, which are the windiest months of the year on Lanzarote.
