The shops at Lanzarote’s Centres for Art, Culture and Tourism (CACT) have introduced a new collection of locally made products inspired by the island’s traditional botanical heritage. Developed by Lanzarote Natural, the range includes organic cosmetics, artisanal fleur de sel, natural prickly pear juice and premium fruit jams.

The collection was officially presented on Wednesday at the Cactus Garden in Guatiza by CACT councillor Ángel Vázquez and Lanzarote Natural founder Daniel Lasso.

The new line is the result of several months of research into the nutritional and cosmetic properties of ingredients closely associated with Lanzarote’s history, including prickly pear cactus (tuno indio), aloe vera, cochineal and sea salt.

Among the cosmetic products are a cactus, aloe vera and cochineal gel, a cactus and aloe vera body milk, and an organic regenerating aloe vera cream. The company says these ingredients form one of the Canary Islands’ most distinctive natural cosmetic combinations.

The collection also includes a selection of artisanal fleur de sel, available in several varieties including natural, black, cactus and cochineal, as well as red mojo and green mojo flavoured salts.

Visitors to CACT shops can now also purchase 100% prickly pear juice, promoted for its antioxidant properties, alongside a range of premium jams containing 75% fruit. Flavours include prickly pear, prickly pear with gofio, prickly pear with banana, papaya, passion fruit, pitaya, and banana with pineapple.
