Driver Injured After Car Overturns on Access Road to Playa Mujeres

A driver was injured on Tuesday afternoon after their vehicle overturned on the access road leading to Playa Mujeres in Playa Blanca.

According to reports, the incident was reported at 4:34pm.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the vehicle had left the roadway and come to rest completely overturned. The driver, who was the only occupant, was already receiving treatment from medical personnel, meaning no rescue operation was required.

Firefighters carefully returned the vehicle to its normal position and disconnected the battery as a precaution to eliminate any potential electrical risk.

Once the vehicle and surrounding area had been made safe, emergency crews completed their work and returned to base.

The extent of the driver’s injuries has not been disclosed.
