Fiestas Continue in Masdache and Conil

Masdache and Conil are celebrating the fiestas of Mary Magdalene and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

On Saturday, the pilgrimage to the Ermita de la Magdalena took place in Masdache, with hundreds of villagers walking through some of the loveliest scenery on the island to gather at the pretty church in the heart of the area known as Entremontañas (Between Mountains).

Celebrations continued with the Masdache race on Sunday, and the usual dances and performances by carnival bands.

Conil will also hold a pilgrimage to the Ermita de la Magdalena this Saturday at 6 pm, and several other events are planned throughout the week. Full details of events can be found at www.ayuntamientodetias.es
