Local police officers in Costa Teguise continue removing unauthorised electric scooters from the streets of the resort.
As with the recent scooter sweep in Playa Blanca, the target appears to be red scooters owned by the Italian Ride Movi company, which lack the necessary operating licences from the council.
Teguise’s Councillor for Local Police, Ginés González, said “the aim is not to prevent new forms of mobility, but rather to ensure that any activity is carried out according to the corresponding criteria and authorizations, guaranteeing safety and respect for the regulations established in the municipality.”
