The yellow calima alert issued by AEMET has been extended for 48 hours until Tuesday night.
The warning commenced at midnight on Saturday evenings and will now continue for three days until midnight on Tuesday. Visibility is predicted to be limited to 3,000 metres.
The worst of the calima has been forecast for this morning and early this afternoon, although at the time of writing (8 am on Sunday morning) the skies remain clear.
