Leading hotels across Lanzarote entered 2026 by lowering their nightly rates compared to January of last year, offering potential savings for travellers.

The trend is confirmed by the latest monthly report from Mabrian Technologies, published by Segittur.

According to the data, the average cost for a five-star hotel room in January was €343 per night. This is a 2% decrease from prices in January 2025. This follows a period of stability in December, where the average rate was frozen at €290, matching the previous year. The reduction continues a trend from the final quarter of last year, which also saw prices drop in October by 11% and in November by 4%.

The trend extended to four-star accommodation, which charged an average of €217 per night this January. This is 4% less than travellers paid twelve months prior. These hotels had previously reduced prices by 4% in November to €206, before raising them slightly by the same percentage in December to an average of €199 per night.

While prices saw a decline, the hotel satisfaction index for Lanzarote in January fell by 10.3% compared to the previous year, reaching 50.2 points.

Furthermore, the broader Global Tourism Perception Index, which measures overall visitor satisfaction across platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Tripadvisor, Expedia, and Booking.com, fell by 12.7% to 64.2 points.
