Shannon Airport is preparing for a busy St. Brigid’s Bank Holiday weekend, with over 24,000 passengers expected to pass through the airport.
The early February break is seeing many travellers seeking to escape the winter weather in favour of warmer climates. Flights from Shannon to Lanzarote and Malaga are reported to be among the most sought after this weekend.
Looking ahead to a busy year, Shannon Airport has confirmed its 2026 schedule will feature 40 routes in total, including regular flights to Lanzarote. This summer will see five new services introduced, including Rome, Warsaw, and Poznan, while the Madrid route will continue with Ryanair.
