A 60-year-old man was rushed to hospital after falling into a three-metre-deep pit in Playa Blanca.
The incident occurred in the Shangrila complex on Calle Suiza, and when firemen attended the scene, the man complained of severe pain in his hip.
Emergency services hoisted him out of the pit using a cave rescue stretcher, placed him on a vacuum mattress and transferred him to the Dr José Molinas Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.
