Lanzarote’s hotels brought in €70 million in October 2025, €2.3 million more than in the same month last year. However, there were 3,000 fewer tourists staying in the hotels in the same period.

Figures from the Canarian Institute of Statistics also show that the average cost of a night in a hotel has risen by over 5% in the same 12-month period, to €141.50. On the other hand, the average length of stay has got shorter, from 7.45 days last year to 7.29 in 2025.

However, the figures do not necessarily mean that there are fewer tourists arriving on the island. The César Manrique Airport received 761,500 travellers in October, 0.4% more than last year. The total of airport arrivals in 2025 was 7.45 million by the end of October, 3% higher than last year, with a strong chance that the island will break the 9 million barrier by the end of the year.
