Ana Garrido Martín, a talented fashion design student from Lanzarote, has made her debut on one of the most prestigious runways in the world: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
The designer, who is studying at UDIT (University of Design, Innovation and Technology), was one of 38 students selected to showcase her work as part of the university’s official show during the 82nd edition of the event. UDIT is the only university with its own dedicated show on the official calendar.
Held at the unique and spectacular Museum of America, the show was attended by senior government officials, international diplomats, media, and major players in the fashion industry. Garrido presented three designs from the collaborative Spring-Summer 2026 collection, titled ‘Los Ritmos’ (The Rhythms).
Ana Garrido’s participation marks a significant moment for Lanzarote’s growing creative community, showcasing local talent on an international stage and demonstrating the high calibre of design emerging from the island.
