Costa Teguise sunbed complaint

Socialist opposition councillors in Teguise have called for an immediate response to the lack of sunbeds and parasols on Costa Teguise’s beaches.

The contract for sunbeds, which raised €296,000 a year for the council to carry out maintenance on the beaches, expired in April and has not been renewed since.

Marcos Bergaz, Teguise’s Socialist leader, said “The lack of planning has been repeated. More than 700 days without a new contract for parks and gardens; poor maintenance of the main access points to Costa Teguise and the state of various forgotten areas hit hard by the floods last April.”
