Firemen rescue woman that had fallen from her wheelchair in Costa Teguise

Firemen rescued a woman who had fallen beneath a car in Costa Teguise yesterday morning.

On arrival at the scene of the incident on Avenida de Jablillo, the emergency services established that the victim had fallen from a wheelchair and was trapped beneath a car.

The firemen used jacks to raise the vehicle and remove the woman, who was placed on a spinal support stretcher and attended to by Canarian Health Service paramedics.
