Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, arrived on Lanzarote yesterday to spend summer holidays with his family.
The Sánchez´s arrived at the military aerodrome at around 1pm in a Falcon jet and were swiftly taken to the residence at La Mareta, just outside Costa Teguise, where they will spend their summer break.
It is an earlier arrival than many expected and suggests that Sánchez could be here for up to three weeks.
The PM’s fondness for the island is evident from the number of times he has stayed here before, arriving not only for summer vacations but also Easter and Christmas breaks.
