The Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife has acquired a mobile CAT scanner to cover services while a new CAT scanner is installed in the hospital.
The hospital paid half a million Euros for a new scanner at the end of last year, but installation of this machine will mean that services must be suspended for at least six weeks. To cover this period, and ensure that waiting lists do not increase, the mobile scanner has been brought in from The Netherlands.
The hospital has carried out over 6,000 CAT scans in the year so far.
