Four Lanzarote wines were awarded at the IX Concurso Nacional de Vinos de pequeñas DO that was held last week in Asturias.
The IX Concurso Nacional de Vinos de pequeñas DO (IX National Competition of Wines of Small Designations of Origin) is organised by Pequeñas DO’s aims to bring together and promote smaller wineries that stand out for their uniqueness and excellence.
The event took place last Friday in Cangas del Narcea, Asturias, and four Lanzarote wines returned to the island with medals.
In the category of white wines (without ageing), Lanzarote claimed three gold medals for the wines Cenizas del Volcán 2024, from Malpaís de Máguez; Martinón Blanco Seco 2024 and Lágrima Cepas Centenarias Malvasía 2023, from Bodegas Martinón.
In the category of red wines aged less than twelve months, Lanzarote claimed one gold medal for its La Grieta tinto 2023, made by Malpaís de Máguez.
