Hot weekend ahead on Lanzarote

Warmer weather is predicted for Friday and the weekend as the temperatures are predicted to rise into the 30s.

This afternoon and Friday will bring stiff north winds reaching up to 50 kph. There’s the possibility of a high level calima on Friday, which may bring hazy conditions.

On Saturday maximum temperatures will rise to 30 degrees, and perhaps even higher in inland regions. While it will be hot, Spain’s weather agency AEMET doesn’t regard it as hot enough to declare a heat wave.
