Registration to the Travesia a Nado de El Rio open this Thursday

Swimmers should be ready at 8.30 am on Thursday, when it will be possible to sign up for the Travesia a Nado de El Rio.

The Travesia is the annual swimming contest from Lanzarote’s Playa del Risco to La Graciosa and is scheduled to take place at 12.30 pm on the 27^th of September.

Adults may sign up from 8.30 am and minors from 14 to 17 years of age from 12.30 pm at https://lanzarotedeportes.com/tnelrio/

There are 450 places for adults and 50 for youngsters, and these usually go very quickly.

The fee is €21 for adults and €11 for minors, which includes transport to La Graciosa. If all goes well (weather and tides have often led to the alteration or cancellation of the event) the swimmers will be ferried over to the Playa del Risco in their swimming costumes, where they will jump overboard and swim to the beach before the event officially starts.
