Manrique wind toy removed for repairs

The César Manrique “Wind toy” at the Montaña Blanca roundabout has been removed for repairs and maintenance by the Cabildo.

The colourful mobile sculpture, composed of several right-angled components that spin laterally, is the latest of the artist’s works to be taken in for maintenance.

The Fobos sculpture at Tahiche, the wind toy at Arrieta and the Monument to Fertility (at the Monumento al Campesino) have also been repaired recently, while another wind toy at the airport is still being worked on.
