€1.82 million will be spent on maintenance and renovation of the airfield at Lanzarote‘s César Manrique airport.

The work will be carried out within twelve months and is necessary for the airport to comply with a report on aerodrome certification.

The airport states that “existing deficiencies will be resolved regarding taxiway centre line lights, taxiway edge lights, information signs, electrical systems, runway strip width, removal of obstacles, safety fencing” and other areas.

Work will take place in the small hours between midnight and 7 am to avoid interference with the normal operation of flights.
