Two elderly passengers forgotten at Lanzarote airport

Two elderly passengers with reduced mobility were forgotten at Lanzarote airport last Thursday, missing their EasyJet flight to Liverpool.

According to La Voz, the pair were “abandoned and forgotten when boarding, which caused them great distress”.

Mitie, the company in charge of assisting passengers, has assured that it is investigating the incident and stated that it will act accordingly.

The two elderly passengers were booked onto another flight to Liverpool with another airline. AENA stated that “Mitie immediately sought a solution so that the passengers could reach their destination as soon as possible.”
