It’s not easy to predict the weather on Lanzarote, especially when conditions are as unstable as they have been recently, but current indications show that there’s likely to be a bit more rain before a calm Christmas
AEMET spokesman Rubén del Campo has said that another DANA (cold, rainy front) will head towards the Canary Islands this weekend, bringing showers and rainfall between Saturday and Monday that could be locally strong.
Sunday is expected to be the most likely for rain, with a 90% probability of rainfall currently forecast. However, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are expected to be less affected than the western Canaries.
East winds will take the storm out to the Atlantic earlier next week, bringing dryer weather. However, east winds can also carry the risk of calima.
