Yaiza Mayor, Óscar Noda, confirmed this week that an agreement has been reached with the Cabildo to execute a project for the installation of bus shelters at stops in the southern resort.
The shelters will be prefabricated, and the project also includes the widening of pavements and accessibility improvements at the stops that don’t currently comply with the regulations.
“The project involves a public tender and all the steps of processing until the company is awarded the contract to carry out the work, but we are already at the gates of seeing this long-standing demand be fulfilled for bus users who will have a better bus service in Playa Blanca, with its 24 stops”, Noda stated.
“We are grateful for the collaboration of the Cabildo’s transport councillor, Domingo Cejas, who maintains direct contact with Yaiza Ayuntamiento’s transport councillor, Beatriz Vázquez, to find solutions to transport problems and concerns”, Noda added.
