60-year-old man dies in abandoned hotel in Playa Blanca

A 60-year-old man has died after suffering a fall in an abandoned hotel in Playa Blanca.

Emergency services were called to the abandoned hotel on the Avenida Faro Pechiguera on Friday afternoon. On arrival, they discovered that the victim had fallen from a height of about five metres and was in an inaccessible area of the ground floor.

A ladder and a caving stretcher were used to extract the victim, who was rushed to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in a helicopter. However, he sadly died of his injuries early on Saturday morning.
