Arrecife announce road works starting tonight

Arrecife Mayor, Yonathan de León, has informed residents that the roads in front of Playa El Reducto will be resurfaced tonight and into the early hours of tomorrow morning.

As part of Arrecife Ayuntamiento’s extensive remodelling of its seafront, calle Valls de la Torre, calle Almirante Boado Endeiza and part of the Avenida Mancomunidad will be resurfaced tonight, and works will continue into tomorrow morning.

The road resurfacings are part of the final stretch of the work to the surroundings of Playa El Reducto, which Arrecife Ayuntamiento started at the end of August last year. The renovation of a section of Avenida Fred Olsen will be transformed into pedestrian from June.

De León has detailed that this work, which will drastically change Arrecife’s seafront, is integrated into the new urban image that will encompass the modernisation of Lanzarote’s capital.

Arrecife Ayuntamiento remind residents and the transport sector in particular to be aware of the roadworks on Friday as it may affect their routes to certain seafront businesses.
