Lanzarote surfer Dylan Donegan U16 world champion

Dylan Donegan, a talented young surfer from Lanzarote, has become the new U16 surfing world champion.

Donegan won each of his seven heats surfed this week. In the grand finale, Dylan scored an 8.17 for a combo of manoeuvres that was backed up by a 7.13 for a heat total of 15.30. A score that carried him to glory.

After collecting the award, Donegan stated “I’m very, very happy. It feels amazing. Even qualifying for the Spanish team is very, very difficult. I haven’t thought about it yet, I guess I’ll just have to do it and enjoy the moment and when I realize it, I’ll probably go crazy.”.
