Man seriously injured after stabbing in Arrecife

A man has been taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa Hospital in serious condition after a stabbing in Arrecife last night.

At approximately 8:30pm last night, the emergency services were alerted to a fight on calle Fajardo in Arrecife.

Upon arrival, the ambulance staff found a 21-year-old that had been stabbed in the chest and, after being stabilised in the ambulance, was quickly taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife for further treatment. Additionally, one of the alleged perpetrators was also taken to hospital with cuts to their hand.

After opening an investigation and taking witness statements, the National Police arrested an adult male as the alleged perpetrator as well as a male minor for resisting arrest.
