Playa Blanca town beach closed

Playa Blanca’s town beach was closed yesterday after traces of sewage were discovered.

Lanzarote’s Emergency Consortium taped off the beach yesterday, and lifeguards were instructed to inform beach users of the ban.

The problem is reported to be a technical issue at one of Canal Gestion’s pumping stations. Staff are reported to be working on the issue.
