Rubbish bin set on fire in Tao

Fire fighters were called to Calle Tinabuado in Tao last weekend, after reports of another rubbish container fire.

At approximately 11:30pm, the emergency services were called to Calle Tinabuado in Tao (in Teguise) after reports of another rubbish container fire.

Upon arrival, the fire fighters found the organic rubbish container that had been destroyed by the fire.

It was safely extinguished, and no injuries were reported, however, it costs approximately 1,200 euros to replace each container.

In March this year, Arrecife Ayuntamiento announced that it had spend 30,000 euros replacing burned containers.
