Seven years for sexual assault

A masseur who sexually assaulted a female client in Puerto del Carmen was sentenced to seven years in prison in a Las Palmas court yesterday.

The convicted man, identified by his initials NFLO, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in a hairdresser’s salon in June 2021. When the victim left the studio and informed her husband of the incident, he confronted the masseur, who ran away.

Judges decided that the victim’s testimony was “consistent and reliable”, was supported by her husband’s version of events and corroborated by other evidence. In contrast, the masseur first denied the incident then provided an “unbelievable” version of events.
