A 64-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after suffering a fall in a cave in Haría.
At approximately 1:30pm yesterday afternoon, the emergency services received the alert. A nearby doctor was the first to assist the 64-year-old, who had begun to regain consciousness after the fall.
After the emergency services arrived at the scene they called for a helicopter due to the terrain being difficult to navigate.
The 64-year-old was airlifted by helicopter, assisted by medical staff at the scene (who established that he had suffered serious damage to his head) and later taken to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.
