Spanish President, Pedro Sánchez, will enjoy a few days off during the Easter break the Palace at Las Maretas (The King’s House) near Costa Teguise.
Sánchez arrived on the island yesterday afternoon and will remain on Lanzarote until this Sunday before he returns to the mainland.
Sánchez has holidayed on Lanzarote four times previously, showing a fondness for the island that is shared by his predecessor and Spain’s previous socialist president, José Luís Rodríguez Zapatero, who holidayed regularly on Lanzarote and has since purchased a property in Famara.
