The Canarian Health Service’s public hospitals will serve special Christmas menus for their patients this weekend, so that those who can’t be at home this Christmas can still enjoy a Christmas treat.
The patients at the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital can look forward to a Christmas Eve dinner menu which will include seafood soup as a starter, pork tenderloin medallions with apple sauce, potatoes, roasted carrots and garlic for the main course, and a traditional trucha de batata (sweet potato pastry) and Christmas sweets.
The kitchen staff have also organised a special Christmas Day menu that will offer a pumpkin soup starter, fish supreme in seafood sauce with potatoes for the main course, and a tronco de navideño to finish.
