200 protestors marched in Arrecife yesterday to protest at delays in the opening of the radiotherapy unit at the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.
The demonstration, organised by Lanzarote’s Association for Families with Cancer (AFOL), started at the Casa Amarilla and marched to the Cabildo, where a manifesto was read out and officially delivered to the President.
In addition to the radiotherapy unit, protestors also called for the renovation of the children’s hospital in Gran Canaria, where young cancer sufferers in the province are treated.
